Zoo Negara Map

Zoo Negara is located in Hulu Kelang, about 5 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur. The zoo is managed by Malaysian Zoological Society and this is the first National Zoo has been established for Malaysian and its being opened in 1963. There are over 5446 specimen from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish in Zoo Negara. After 48 years old its operations, this is hugely population in zoo. The Zoo Negara is very busy during the weekends and public holidays. Beside that, the zoo also offers to visitors with performance by Orang Utan and Sea Lions.

Cat Walk the One of 7 Wonderful

The attraction in Zoo Negara is 7 Wonders of Zoo Negara. the 7 wonders such as Cat Walk, Ape Centre, Tunku Abdul Rahman Lake, Reptile House, Savannah Walk and Amphibian House. In Cat Walk, visitors can see the real life Lion King from the African Lions, Malayan Tiger and watch bug cats roar or swimming in the pool at Zoo Negara. In ape centre, visitors can see chimpanzees from Africa and two spacies Orang Utans, Bornean and Sumatran Orang Utan. 

7 Wonders in Zoo Negara

Meanwhile Tunku Abdul Rahman Lake offer with various fish, aquatic insects and freshwater aquatic system. In reptile house there are Estuarine crocodile, variety of tortoises, terrapins and lizards. There are also various types of snakes and green anaconda. Variety of African animals likes Sable antelopes, Scimatar, Horned oryx, giraffes, ostriches, zebras and white rhinoceroses in Savannah Walk. The last one is in amphibian world with amazing species of Brown Tree, Dark-earend Tree Frog, Golden Tree Frog, Brown Bullfrog, White-Lipped Frog, River Toad and others beautiful frogs.

In zoo Negara, there are others parts for types of animals such as Insect Zoo, Hornbill Centre, Malaysian Elephants, Lake Birds, Bird Aviary, Nocturnal Exhibits, Australian Plain, Humboldt Penguin, Children’s World, Bear Complex, Hippopotamus and Mammal Kingdom. There are too many exiting to watch them live.

Food and Souvenirs Kiosk

In Zoo Negara, visitors don not worry about where to find foods and beverages because inside the zoo also have the kiosk to sell food and beverages. Beside that, the zoo also offer the souvenir kiosk to give opportunities to visitors buy some souvenir to bring back as memories in Zoo Negara. There are place to sell food and beverage and also some souvenirs such as The Wild Restaurant, Wall’s Café, Mane Delicious, Hari Harimau Café, Kancil Souvenir Shop & Kyoto Enterprise, Bee Museum and Merine Bay.

Tram Ride

Others facilities that offer by Zoo Negara is Prayer Room to make easy for Muslims visitors fulfill their responsibilities. The other services this zoo provide to visitors such as snapshot with animals likes Python and Birds, tram rides, arrange an events such as birthdays, family day, Scenic Points for Functions, Kancil Hall and Tunku abdul Rahman Theatre. Visitors also entertain by multi-animal show by sea lion, Macaques and Macaws.
